This desk exists so South Africans can follow the commissions that matter — without spin, without paywalls, without having to remember where they read it.
How the desk works
1. Aggregation, not invention. Every event on this site links to its sources — publications, broadcasts, official statements, court documents. We do not report new facts; we organise what is on the public record.
2. Multi-source triangulation. Where possible each event is corroborated by at least two independent publications before it enters the timeline. Single-source events are labelled as such.
3. The Thread AI is grounded. The Thread answers only from this desk's knowledge base and cites the events it uses. It is instructed to say when it does not know — and its answers link back to the record so you can verify every claim yourself.
4. Corrections welcome. Found an error, a missing event, or a better source? Write to [email protected]. Corrections are noted on the event itself.
